Sourdough by mail order trial

Welcome to those of you living outside of my delivery area! And a big welcome if you have never tried artisan bread before, because of food allergies or intolerances. You can be part of a UK mainland postal trial to order my homemade sourdough to your door. With that in mind please order one box of 2 sourdough, at a time, whilst the trial is in progress. If you’d like to feed back your payment and delivery experience directly to me, via email or message. This will really help my small business to offer customers the best experience possible.

Kitchen maintenance – CLOSED 27th May – 17th June – apologies for any inconvenience. Deliveries can be made after these dates.

Here’s what you need to know before ordering: I include two sourdoughs. One to eat and one to keep or freeze. The price includes a next day postage fee UK mainland & packaging and is usually delivered with Evri. Baking for mail orders will usually take place on a Tuesday morning. So you can expect to receive your sourdough from Wednesday onwards. Due to sourdough starter and dough prep time, any orders received after Sunday 4pm will usually be delivered a week on Wednesday onwards, so please plan your ordering date. The Doorstep Baker is not responsible for delivery service delays.

Food allergy information: Artisan sourdough made with organic flour from Shipton Mill and my sourdough starter with salt and water. Made in my home kitchen that does not use peanuts or tree nuts or any product derived from them or including them.

The Shipton Mill allergen policy ‘provides flour free from contamination by undeclared food allergens’. Their only declarable food allergen in gluten. Their site does not handle peanuts or tree nuts or any product derived from them or including them.

Delivery and freshness: The Doorstep Baker sourdoughs are wrapped in my home kitchen and posted to you in a box. It will be ready unwrap, ready for toasting and loading up with your toppings. Orders placed will be started the following Sunday evening. Baking day is Tuesday, ideally for delivery Wednesday onwards.

I label that this is best eaten within 5 days, but I know from experience that it can last so much longer and has no additives to make it do that! Amazing. The sourdough is also suitable for freezing, if you wrap it tightly first. 3 choices to order from below.
