Welcome to The Doorstep Baker
At The Doorstep Baker, every loaf tells the story of a passion turned into a delicious and rustic art form. My journey began with hesitant, brick-like bakes and quickly evolved through a mix of persistence, creative experimentation, and a commitment to learning advanced techniques – from viennoiserie to sourdough mastery. Today, I proudly craft artisanal sourdough, a variety of yeasted breads and breads without gluten that celebrate both flavour and inclusivity. My six-year-old sourdough starters and innovative flour blends are the heart of my work, which now reaches local market pop ups and I include them in my sourdough making workshops. Head to the free recipe page on here and discover bread making for yourself today.

Courses and Workshops “One of the best courses I’ve done. Cooking my own bread weekly now and even experimenting with my own flavours of sourdough. Highly recommended.” Jayne, Bewdley, Worcestershire. Come on a bread for daily life baking workshop or an All sorts of bread workshop. There’s even a baking without gluten workshop. Head to the workshops page for more, including Christmas and Easter bakes. Lots to choose from.
